A BESPOKE WEDDING DRESS IS A DRESS THAT HAS BEEN CREATED ESPECIALLY FOR YOU, FORM STRAR TO FINISH. THIS MEANS THE DESIGN HAS BEEN DRAFTED FROM SCRATCH, ACCORDING TO YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS, CUT AND SEWN ACCORDING TO YOUR PARTICULAR MEASUREMENTS, AND DETAILED AND EMBELLISHED EXACTLY HOW YOU WOULD LIKE IT. BRIDES OPTING FOR A BESPOKE BRIDAL GOWN OFTEN KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT. AND TEND TO HAVE A HIGHER BUDGET. BESPOKE DRESS IS A TRUE LUXURY AND INVOLVES A CONULSTATION PROCESS AND NUMEROUS FITTING SESSIONS.

THE COST OF MADE-TO-MEASURE DRESSES WILL OFTEN LOWER THAN BESPOKE WEDDING DRESSES. 

 

A MADE-TO-ORDER WEDDING DRESS IS THE MOST COMMON CHOICE AMONGST BRIDES. JUST PICK FROM OUR COLLECTIONS, WE WILL THEN ORDER THE ONE FOR YOUR FROM THE DESIGNERS. ALTERATIONS TO THE DRESS CAN BE MADE IF THE SIZE IS NOT PERFECT, OR ELEMENTS NEED ADJUSTING, AT A SLIGHTLY EXTRA COST. SOME BRIDES MAY REQUIRE MORE DRAMATIC SIZING ALTERATION. HOWEVER, ADDITIONAL CHARGE WILL BE APPLIED. A MADE-TO-ORDER WEDDING DRESS NORMALLY TAKES ROUGHLY FOUR TO SIX MONTHS TO MAKE.

 

MOST GOWNS AT BLOSSOM ARE MADE-TO-ORDER. OUR MADE-TO-ORDER GOWNS MEAN THAT THEY ARE MADE TO YOUR CLOSEST STANDARD SIZE AND ALTERATIONS ARE DONE THROUGH EITHER BLOSSOM OR A THIRD PARTY DRESS MAKER, AT A SLIGHTLY EXTRA COST. 

 

MADE-TO-MEASURE GOWNS AND BESPOKE GOWNS MEANS WE MAKE A CUSTOM PATTERN THAT IS CUT TO YOUR EXACT MEASUREMENTS AND ANYWHERE BETWEEN 4-6 FITTINGS WILL BE REQUIRED.

 

WHAT ARE YOUR DRESSMAKING LEAD TIMES?

WE LIKE A MINIMUM OF SIX TO EIGHT MONTHS FOR OUR BESPOKE GOWNS, FIVE MONTHS TO SIX MONTHS FOR MADE-TO-MEASURE GOWNS AND FOUR TO FIVE MONTHS FOR OUR MADE-TO-ORDER GOWNS. WE ARE ABLE TO WORK WITHIN A SHORTER TIME FRAME HOWEVER THIS MAY INCUR AN ADDITIONAL RUSH FEE. 

 

HOW MANY FITTINGS ARE INVOLVED IN MADE-TO-ORDER & MADE TO MEASURE?

BESPOKE AND MADE-TO-MEASURE FITTINGS VARIES BETWEEN FOUR TO SIX APPOINTMENTS AFTER YOUR INITIAL CONSULTATION, DEPENDING ON THE INTRICACY OF THE DESIGN.

 

HOW DO ALTERATIONS WORK? 

OUR MADE-TO-ORDER GOWNS ARE ALL CONSTRUCTED TO BE EASILY ALTERABLE. WE DO OFFER IN HOUSE ALTERATIONS FOR OUR BRIDES, AT AN EXTRA COST,  DEPENDING ON WHAT NEEDS TO BE ALTERED. WE DO ALSO HAVE RECOMMENDED SEAMSTRESSES OUTSIDE BLOSSOM, WHO ARE ABLE TO DO THESE ALTERATIONS AT A LOWER COST.

BESPOKE AND MADE-TO-MEASURE GOWNS WILL BE ALTERED THROUGHOUT THE DRESSMAKING PROCESS AS THEY ARE MADE-TO-MEASURE.
